The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
The NCCER Program
Building Tomorrow's Workforce
As the accrediting body for the industry, NCCER establishes and enforces the benchmark for quality training. Working in partnership with industry and academia, NCCER has developed a system for program accreditation that is similar to those found in institutions of higher learning.
NCCER's accreditation process assures that students receive quality training based on uniform standards and criteria. In partnership with Prentice Hall, NCCER develops and publishes the CONTREN-LEARNING SERIES, this competency-based curriculum is taught nationwide by contractors, associations, construction users, and secondary and post-secondary schools.
In an effort to provide students with industry-recognized credentials and assure national portobility of skills, NCCER maintains a portable and nationally recognized credentialing and certification system. This NATIONAL REGISTRY provides transcripts, certificates, and wallet cards to students who successfully complete the Contren Learning Series through an Accredited Sponser (Penntium Technical Trainning, LLC). These valuable industry credentials benefit students as they seek employment and build their careers.
